YOGA FOR PREGNANCY

Pregnancy is one of
the most special times in a woman's life.
It is a time for nurturing, slowing down and learning to meditate, while being in the company of other mothers-to-be. This Prenatal Yoga Class provides safe, simple and effective exercises designed to strengthen and relax your rapidly changing body, in preparation for birth and motherhood.
A typical Pregnancy Class teaches breath and posture awareness, how to adapt physically and psychologically to pregnancy, and offers a carefully planned sequence of postures to help with common ailments of pregnancy (for example: back pain, stomach burns, cramps, or carpal tunnel syndrome). You will learn to balance your energy levels, and receive essential information about how to cope during labour. There will also be chanting, connecting with the baby and of course lots of relaxation !!!
The physical, psychological, cultural and spiritual aspects of pregnancy, combined with the richness of yoga, make these classes very special...a time and space for women to celebrate their pregnancies, as well as a blessing for teachers!
Suitable for all women from the 12th week of pregnancy.
Odile Matteoda-Witte started practicing yoga about 10 years ago in London. When she became pregnant, she decided to go further into the path of yoga and to devote more time and energy to it. She trained at The Life Centre in London for the past 3 years, specializing in Yoga for Children with Jo Manuel, and Yoga for Pregnancy with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. She is a member of the British Wheel of Yoga and her training is accredited by The Yoga Alliance.
