Please note: Aurora has been closed since July 1, 2010.

The Aurora foundation will be dissolved as per March 31, 2011.

There are no more activities being organized by or taking place at Aurora.

March 21, 2011   -   Farewell from Aurora

Over the past months, our efforts to reorganize Aurora and to build a sufficiently motivated and skilled management team to carry Aurora into the future have not been fruitful. So, sadly, the time has come for us to say goodbye to our dear public.

Nevertheless, it has been a wonderful journey! We thank you all for your interest and support, and wish you success on your path to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

This website will remain online through December 31, 2010.

In the meantime, we will be creating a new website for the future Aurora. When that website is available, you will be redirected to it from the old website.

We will announce the new website’s address (on this page) when it’s ready.

On June 30, the Aurora Holistic Center on the Herengracht will close.

Important news from AURORA

For the past few years the board, director, management team, and a handful of motivated colleagues at Aurora have been exploring ways to renew the center and to grow in new directions.

Over the past 15 years as founder and director, I have personally invested a great deal of time and energy in creating Aurora. I am now satisfied that the time has come for me to let go of the daily workload of running the center, and to focus upon holding the vision, sharing my experience, and providing support for a new generation of management.

This also coincides with a recent decision of the board to bring our time on the Herengracht to a close this coming summer and to find a new location (in the center of Amsterdam) where we can offer better facilities and services to both our colleagues and the public.

Our guide for Aurora’s path into the future is Tomer Segal, long-standing Aurora colleague and new pro-active board member, who is already busy with preparations such as building a new management team, looking at potential locations, and developing strategies for fundraising.

During the entire transition process, Aurora’s board will continue to be fully operational, overseeing the dismantling of the current center, and helping to create a new beginning at another location.

We will continue to update you all on developments and hope to hear from any of you who may be interested in participating in this exciting new growth process, or who have ideas and suggestions to share with us.
